on the ort, from the ortist:

Kaitlyn Higa is not a human being, but rather a semblance of flesh attempting to fulfill expectations because of a reason, and is correct and justified in their imposter syndrome.

A Software Engineer by day and a slob by the day and night, Kaitlyn participates in no activities and possesses no skills that qualify their ability to participate in “art”. Thus, they call their non-coding work, “ort” which they suppose looks kind of like art, but they’re really not even sure about that.

Kaitlyn likes the appearance of the word “or” as the conjunction generally connects the other to what is common and accepted. This resonates with their dreams. Also “ort” seems like the sound that a large sea mammal would make. Kaitlyn’s soul would make this noise if it could.
